Narrabri chamber has new president

Outgoing president of the Narrabri Chamber of Commerce, Richard Orr, was warmly thanked for his six years of service when he stood down from the position at Tuesday's chamber AGM.
Mr Orr has announced he wouild not seek re-election.
He is succeeded by the former deputy president Russell Stewart.
Ian Duffey was elected as the chamber's new deputy president. 
Chamber members applauded Mr Orr's commitment and contribution over his six terms.
Mr Stewart said Mr Orr's stability, integrity, foresight and commitment to the chamber had underpinned its functions.
"Membership numbers have built considerably under his leadership, which has lifted the chamber and consolidated it as a solid and effective organisation."
The new leadership team will see deputy president Mr Duffey acting as interim treasurer, succeeding treasurer Wayne Grove, who did not seek re-election, with long serving secretary Sheryl Ridley continuing her role.
The Chamber of Commerce committee comprises of Dennise Simshauser, Joan Longworth,  Vesner Rendulic, Kate Logan and Tony Longworth.
The AGM was well attended.
Chamber membership has increased to its highest ever levels and the chamber has several initiatives in the pipeline to help its
member businesses and the 
Narrabri business community generally.
