
Maitland Street was awash with daffodils on Friday as high school students joined seasoned volunteers to raise almost $2800 for the Cancer Council.
It was a fantastic community effort that will help the Cancer Council research the disease and fund prevention and support programs. Eight Narrabri High School students - all members of the student representative council - donned yellow sashes and t-shirts to sell daffodils and merchandise before school started.Several businesses had already placed orders for daffodil bunches.One-hundred-and-fifty bunches were ordered for the occasion.
