A major contractor at the Boggabri Coal Mine has confirmed job losses will occur early next year as a result of the completion of an interim haulage project.
LCR Group has had 75 employees working on the project since April 2013, but those positions will be made redundant early next year due to the completion of the mine's rail line.
Boggabri Coal has a workforce of more than 600 employees and contractors, including the 75 operaters from LCR Group.
The Chief Executive Officer of LCR Group, Col Partington, said the company was working hard to secure new work contracts.
