Library manager Jenny Campbell and successful romantic suspense author Chris Taylor.||
Established local author Chris Taylor has donated the first eight books of her Munro family series to the Narrabri library.
The romantic suspense novels are signed and now available for borrowing.
The series has proved to be an international success, with the first book, ‘The Profiler’, downloaded more than 400,000 times.
In the last seven months Chris has sold over 36,000 hard copies.
Chris first broke into the world of publishing two years ago when she won the Romance Writers of Australia Emerald Award, which led to a digital version of her first novel becoming available on iTunes and Kindle.
This year Chris has been nominated as a finalist in the Australia Romance Readers Best New Author award.
The award winner will be announced next weekend at the Australian Romance Readers Asssociation awards night.
In conjunction with the Narrabri Library, Chris will be holding a book signing at the Crossing Theatre this Monday March 2 (see advertisement  on page 3 for more details).
It will be an opportunity for interested community members to hear Chris speak about her journey as an author, the inspiration for her series and local connections within her books.
Chris will also share her tips on how to write a novel and the process of being published.
After a question and answer session, Chris will also be available to sign copies of her books which will be on sale throughout the evening.
