Civeo, formerly known as The MAC, has no plans to close either Narrabri or Boggabri workforce accommodation villages, the company has said.
In a statement today, Civeo said ‘despite recent rumours circulating’ Civeo’s Australian Managing Director, Peter McCann, said the company’s vision for the region was crystal clear.’
“We are proud members of the Narrabri and Boggabri communities, and we have no plans whatsoever to close either of our local accommodation” Mr McCann said.
“This is demonstrated through our recent re-signing as major sponsor of the Narrabri Blues for the 2015 season, and our ongoing use of local businesses to provide fresh produce and baked goods for all of our villages in the region.
“I am confident we will continue to play our part locally into the future” Mr McCann said.
