On Wednesday residents from Whiddon’s Robert Young and Jessie Hunt residential aged care homes celebrated Seniors’ Week at Narrabri Aquatic Centre with Narrabri High School students.
Every week since late 2014, a group of year nine and ten students has been taking part in water activities with the seniors at the pool.
The students volunteer their time for the afternoons.
Each resident is partnered with two students who join in a variety of fun water activities.
Some swim laps, others practise water aerobics and some go for a leisurely stroll in the water.
