NextGen's Inaugural Black Tie Ball drew an impressive crowd of 160 to the Crossing Theatre last Friday night.
The local networking group decided to hold the event to allow the region's next generation to come together  and celebrate the positive aspects of life in rural communities.
It was also an opportunity to showcase Narrabri's vibrant social scene and excellent function venues.
NextGen was able to make a donation to Legacy from the ticket sale proceeds.
"It was good to be able to donate to such an important organisation on the eve of the Anzac Day Centenary, hopefully in years to come we'll be able to grow our contribution to worthy causes," said NextGen President James Thomas.
"I'm hearing everyone had a great night as well, and we had a lot of people from out of town come along, so the committee is really happy with how our first major event has panned out.
"Thanks to everyone who made the effort to dress up and come along, we really appreciate the support the community has shown us in what is still a fairly new initiative."
The dance floor of the auditorium was packed on the night with entertainment provided by Sydney band Benny Nelson Music.
The photo booth provided by local photographer Kate Campbell was also hugely popular, with guests lining up to strike a silly pose.
