Star of the Rooftop Express Show, champion Australian stockhorse Rooftop Rocky, above with David Manchon will perform at Narrabri Show at 7pm on Saturday.||
Spectacular first time features will entertain visitors to Narrabri Show this weekend.
The show committee has assembled a program which combines traditional attractions with exciting new events over three big days.
This will be the 100th Anniversary of Anzac Narrabri Show, a special show in the centenary year. Accordingly, Narrabri RSL sub branch president, Mr Ken Craddock, OAM, has been invited to officially open the event on Friday night.
There will be plenty of action in the main ring, packed pavilions, food and fun at the sideshows.
The gates open early on Friday morning and close on Sunday afternoon. In between, showgoers will have plenty to entertain them.
One of the highlights will be a major new feature, the Rooftop Express Show which has played to crowds at metropolitan  venues and has included Princess Anne in its audiences.
“We have performed at the Brisbane Royal Show, the Melbourne Royal and performed for Princess Anne late last year” said spokesman David Manchon.
“But this is will be first time we have performed in NSW.
“It’s all about the Australian Outback” said David.
“The show features the return of the Aussie larrikin and is basically about the heroes of the Outback - the people and their dogs, horses and cattle.
“It is a true blue Australian comedy show.
The star  Rooftop Rocky, has an impressive repertoire.
“He gets ridden up onto the roof of the gooseneck trailer during the show - the only horse in the world to do that” said David.
“Rooftop Rocky won the 2013 Westpac Star of the Year, an Australian Stock Horse Society award” said David.
“It is a scripted show, a production in itself but has something for the kids, the farmers, cattle work, dog work - the whole deal.”
