Six lucky winners were drawn from the barrel at the Narrabri Christmas Carnival last Thursday evening, sharing in $15,000 worth of cash and vouchers.
Over the past couple of months, shoppers who spent money at any of the participating businesses in The Courier and Wee Waa News’ Live and Learn Locally promotion received tickets which were placed into the draw at Thursday’s event.
First prize of $5000 in cash and $5000 in vouchers to be spent at any of the participating businesses, was won by Colleen Charlton, with her winning ticket purchased from Narrabri Pharmacy.
Although Colleen had entered many tickets spent at various participating businesses, she only entered one ticket at Narrabri Pharmacy, where she had bought a bottle of perfume for herself.
This is the fourth time that Narrabri Pharmacy has sold the winning ticket.
Sales assistant Wendy Hannaford won the $1000 travel voucher to be spent at Harvey World Travel.
The five runners-up each received $1000 in vouchers to be spent at any of the participating businesses.
