A group of Narrabri High School students have landed in Europe for a two week adventure which will help them better understand history
subjects.
Thirty Year 11 and 12 students who are undertaking Ancient and Modern History as school subjects left Narrabri High School on a bus bound for Sydney last Friday morning.
The 30 students, six teachers and four parents then boarded an Emirates plane from Sydney to Rome via Dubai.
The group will spend their time in Italy, Belgium and France.
The first half of the tour includes visits to the Colosseum, The Forum, the Vatican and a special focus on Pompeii and Herculaneum, which is the compulsory topic for Ancient History students.
The group will then visit the battlefields of WWI in France and Belgium, which is directly related to the core topic in Modern History.
But it won’t all be work - with a trip to Paris to visit the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre on the itinerary.
The trip is taking place during the school holidays, with the group returning home on April 26.
