Volunteers from across the Narrabri Shire came together on Friday to share morning tea and be thanked for their dedication to numerous community organisations.
The event, held at the Narrabri Shire Council Chambers, recognised the inspiring work these volunteers do to make their communities a better place.
The Narrabri Shire Volunteering Awards for 2014 were also announced at the morning tea.
The winner of the 60 years and over volunteering award was Beryl Dean, while the recipient of the 25 to 59 years volunteering award was Donna Turner.
Both were presented with framed certificates of appreciation, and Beryl received a bouquet of red roses.
In his welcome, the mayor, Cr Conrad Bolton, honoured the volunteers, praising each of the six nominees for their passion for community volunteering.
