
Narrabri Hospital has taken delivery of the latest in infant resuscitation technology, a new $22,000 Cosy Cot.
Nurse Unit manager Suellen Stove explained that the new equipment was a gentle way to get air to newborn babies who needed special care. The unit has already been used.
Member for Barwon Mr Kevin Humphries was on hand last week to officially present the new unit, purchased by the NSW Government from the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, which purchases essential medical equipment for neonatal units and paediatric wards in hospitals across Australia.
The unit further complements the state of the art equipment at the hospital.
The new Cosy Cot supersedes earlier equipment and is part of a wider purchase of equipment for rural and regional hospitals actross NSW.
